What is a blog?

There are many types of blogs. For the purpose of this website, I will just explain what we see as a blog.
First, we need to explain, a blog is not a website. It is more like a news page or journal, that lives on your web page. A web page has static ‘PAGES’ that seldom change. A blog consists of POSTS, or articles, that you place on an ongoing basis, to announce new things, do articles on a specific subject, and so on. You can very easily publish or share these ‘articles’ on social media, to serve as an advertisement for your web page or web site.
Structure
You get a web page or a blog. These two can be displayed singly as static web sites. Or you can combine the two as a website with a static home page and other pages, with your blog integrated as a subdivision of your website.
We at SinglePage specialize in the last one, but can also do the other two.
It is very important that you as our client understand the distinction and explain what you want, during the briefing stage.
Example
Look at this website as an example. You have a menu structure with a home page and some other pages. Then, also on the menu, you get the Blog entry. When you click on this (Blog) in the menu, you go to the blog section of this website and can read all the articles, like this one, in the blog section.
In other words, you have your static website pages and you have a blog with many articles.
Articles are used to communicate with your audience and they can even speak to you in return, in the form of comments. Much the same as on Facebook.
